Stone & Light - Milford family home renovation
Completed in three stages, the renovation reimagined the kitchen and two bathrooms to better support modern family living. Each space has its own character, from light and restrained to rich and dramatic, while thoughtful spatial planning, refined detailing and close collaboration bring cohesion to the home as a whole.

SCOPE:
A staged renovation of an existing family home, encompassing the kitchen and two bathrooms.
DESIGN CHALLENGE:
Retaining the kitchen’s structural posts while supporting a substantial floating timber table, alongside the precision required to install large-format porcelain tiles throughout the dramatic family bathroom.
DESIGN RESPONSE:
The existing posts were transformed into considered architectural features, while close collaboration between the clients, builder and cabinetmaker resolved the structural demands of the floating table. Each bathroom was given its own identity, with one designed as a light, fresh retreat and the other as an immersive, richly layered showpiece.
