Fresh Utility - Campbells Bay laundry renovation
Previously configured as a kitchenette for short-term accommodation, this Campbells Bay space was transformed into a generous, hardworking laundry for a family of five. Ample cabinetry, practical benchtop space and provision for future appliances create a highly functional room, while the muted green palette keeps it feeling fresh and considered.

SCOPE:
A complete laundry renovation within the existing room, including new cabinetry, benchtop, splashback, sink and provision for a future fridge and drying rack.
DESIGN CHALLENGE:
Creating substantially more storage and workspace within the existing footprint while retaining the established plumbing location. The finishes also needed to be durable and cost-effective enough to withstand the demands of everyday family life.
DESIGN RESPONSE:
Full-height and under-bench cabinetry maximises storage while maintaining a generous work surface around the sink and appliances. Space was incorporated for a future fridge and drying rack, allowing the laundry to adapt as the family’s needs change. Hard-wearing high-pressure laminate was used for both the benchtop and splashback, paired with Melteca Green Slate cabinetry to bring warmth and personality to this practical space.
