Quiet Revival - Devonport villa bathroom, laundry and wardrobe renovation

Following water damage, the family bathroom, laundry and bedroom wardrobe in this Devonport villa were thoughtfully refreshed. The homeowners had a clear vision for the overall look and feel, with the design process focused on refining the layouts, improving storage and bringing the three spaces together through a cohesive palette of crisp white, charcoal and warm brass detailing.

LOCATION:
Devonport, Auckland

SCOPE:
A renovation of the existing family bathroom and laundry, along with the design of a bespoke bedroom wardrobe, including cabinetry, fixtures, finishes and lighting.

DESIGN CHALLENGE:
Updating three separate areas while creating a consistent design language throughout the home. The bathroom layout needed to remain unchanged to avoid relocating plumbing, while the laundry required reconfiguration to improve its functionality and storage.

DESIGN RESPONSE:
The bathroom was refreshed within its existing footprint, with a custom curved vanity, generous shower and carefully layered brass accents creating a refined contemporary feel. The laundry was replanned to provide a more practical arrangement, increased cabinetry and uninterrupted benchtop space. A bespoke internal wardrobe system completes the project, providing a tailored combination of hanging space, shelving and drawers.
